Richoux Patisserie is a friendly bakery in Ellerslie that specializes in meat and vegan pies. They offer a wide selection of tasty pies for meat-eaters, vegans, and vegetarians and delicious pastries, fresh donuts, freshly baked buns, and custom cakes. The food is well presented and the staff is super friendly.
Some of their highlights are their award-winning vegan chicken, cranberry, and cheese pie, vegan cream donuts, vegan custard tarts, and hot cross buns. Another award winner is the mince and cheese pie. It is also a great place for coffee. Take-out and delivery are available.

Baker & Co is a café that serves a wide selection of sweet and savory treats. All of their baked goods are made fresh in-house every day from the best quality ingredients. They use only free-range eggs and meat and locally sourced produce. A variety of gluten-free options are available. They are open Monday through Saturday.
They serve a wide selection of muffins, scones, brioche, pies, wraps, tarts, sandwiches, cookies, slices, and cakes. The gluten-free scones and caramel cashew slices are highly recommended. Baked goods are matched with Allpress coffee. Breakfast and lunch are served until 1:30 pm, catering is available, and they have just launched their very own high tea.

The Caker is an Auckland bakery that specializes in cakes. It is run by Jordan Rondel, the founder, and her sister Anouk. Jordan started the cakery in 2010. She also writes recipes, recipe books, and sells highly recommended cake kits that come with the mix, decorations, and a non-stick baking pan liner.
The cake kits come in a variety of flavors, such as lemon strawberry poppy seed, matcha cherry, and flourless dark chocolate gold leaf. At the Auckland bakery, there is a selection of cakes to choose from or you can have a cake made to order. The cakes are made with Belgian coverture chocolate, fruit, and ground almonds, and are decorated with fresh flowers.

Located in Grey Lynn, Tart Bakery is a small, family-owned vegan bakery and restaurant that offers authentic bread, pastries, donuts, pies, pizza, and more. Established in 2012 by Philippa, a mother of five, this bakery uses stone-based deck ovens to make their chemical and preservative-free foods.
Everything is vegan and made in the store. A wide selection of treats and savory items are offered. Their filled apple donuts, mushroom pies, biscuits, and croissants are highly recommended. The staff is welcoming, the service is amazing, and the food is delicious and reasonably priced.

La Petite Fourchette (The Little Fork) is a French Patisserie-inspired bakery owned by the French-Kiwi couple Natalie and Romain Le Gal. They offer a wide range of savory and sweet French delicacies including macarons, éclairs, tarts, and quiches. Their service is friendly, the atmosphere is excellent, and the food is fresh and delicious.
Some of the highlights are the almond croissant, pain au chocolat, the ham croissant, the avocado toast, and the hot chocolate. Another favorite is the muesli with berries, fruit compote, and creamy yogurt. This is a great place to enjoy a quick breakfast or a nice lunch.

Started by Kim Evens in 2007, Little & Friday began in a small vacant butcher’s shop and was open only on Fridays. The idea was to bake everything from scratch using the finest ingredients and organic produce. Today, the business has expanded to four stores that are open seven days a week. All stores use Houston Design Co. ceramics.
Breakfast, lunch, and brunch are served, and vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are offered. Savory tarts, jam donuts, chicken pie, cheese scones, and good coffee are some of their highlights. The setting and ambiance are nice, and outdoor seating is available.
